About Dave

My other passion - wearing silly hats!

I am Dave Smith. I live in London and work from a home office, consulting on search engine optimisation, internet marketing and web development.

I consult for SEO Correct, a London based SEO company and for private clients. I’ve been doing it since 1996.

Things have changed over that time but all these years of being immersed in the world of web development, search engine optimisation and internet marketing have built up my knowledge a bit. I consult now on SEO strategies for some of the biggest companies in the UK, for highly respected organisations and for startup ecommerce shops working from home. My local business gateway has had me as a speaker at their seminars.

When new customers contact me I do my best to help everyone, but in some cases there’s little or nothing that can be done within budget, and if this is the case I’ll say so. I’d like to think I’m honest enough to tell customers when they’ve got a great website, or when it is a bit lame (and try not to hurt their feelings). If you’ve got a budget, tell me what you want to spend and I’ll tell you what I can do for that. I love hearing from new customers and will honestly try not to bamboozle you with geeky tech speak like the sort you’ve probably seen on this blog.

If you’ve got a site and want it to do better in the search engines, please drop me an email and ask for a quote, you’ve got nothing to loose. Giving me your email wont lead to thousands of pestering phone calls from some call centre in Calcutta. If you like what I send you, great - we can build a business relationship. If somebody else looks better, that’s fine too - I don’t believe that quoting for a contract gives me free reign to bug the prospect endlessly after that. If you are looking to work with a bigger company, try my friends at SEO Correct where I do the consultancy.

The bottom line is that I love promoting websites. I have the knowledge and the experience, oh yes, and my low overheads might just make it cheaper.
